Our history

Gateway School of Ministry began life as Impact School of Ministry in 1996 at Evangel Christian Fellowship in San Jose, California. Evangel's pastors saw a need to train new generations of leaders to continue the work of ministry begun by it's founder, Apostle Emanuele Cannistraci, so that the church could successfully fulfill its kingdom mandate to preach the gospel and make disciples.

Our legacy

For over 20 years IMPACT equipped and released men and women for their calling in ministry. More than 400 have graduated, who are now serving in missions, church planting, pastoring, worship and marketplace ministry.

Impact becomes Gateway School of Ministry

Evangel became Gateway City Church in 2003 and relocated to South San Jose, where it is today, under the leadership of Dr. David Cannistracti, our senior pastor. Gateway School of Ministry continues the work of training new leaders in up-to-date ministry strategies to reach our communities with the gospel, reconcile people to Christ, and help them grow into mature disciples.
