Why do we offer ministry practicums?

Jesus Christ trained His disciples through real life, every day, hands-on experiences.  He was the textbook and class was always in session. 

I write to you again, my dear friend, to give you further details about the life of our Lord Jesus and all the things that he did and taught – Acts 1:1 TPT

Jesus also spent time with His team privately, making sure they understood what He was doing and what He expected from them. 

I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you. John 13:15

Using Jesus’ ministry as our example we offer students training through ministry practicums for Levels 2 and 3 of our leadership development program to optimize their learning experience.

What is a ministry practicum?

Ministry practicums are mentoring experiences where students engage in ministry through leading and multiplying a small group.    

Students at all levels participate in monthly mentoring cohorts where mentors work with them to help them develop necessary ministry skills.
